When will it snow in Cincinnati? What to know about the 2025-26 winter forecast

Although it’s officially fall, Greater Cincinnati is still waiting for cooler temperatures to arrive.

Despite the region battling 80-degree heat, it’s not unusual for the Midwest to see a drop in temperatures this time of year, and residents are likely wondering about one dreaded white powdery substance: snow.

Ohio is notorious for its “unpredictable weather.” It should come as no surprise the state’s snowfall has been sporadic over the years. The first snow of 2024-25 fell in late November, but Cincinnati has seen it as early as mid-October.

Here’s when Cincinnati’s first snowfall could arrive for the 2025-26 winter.
