Jimmy Kimmel took aim at President Donald Trump during Tuesday’s monologue, poking fun at a viral clip that appeared to show Trump struggling to stay awake during a White House cabinet meeting. The footage showed Trump with his eyes drooping as officials praised him and the administration.

“Does this look like a man who is showing signs of fatigue?” Kimmel asked the audience before rolling the clip. He then mocked Trump’s criticisms of President Biden: “Tell us again how sleepy Joe is, will you?”

Kimmel also referenced Trump’s late-night social media activity. “Of course, he’s tired. He was up all night posting when he wasn’t sleeping,” he joked. The host noted that Trump had made around 160 posts on Truth Social, promoting conspiracy theories, praising himself and First Lady Melania, and criticizing his opponents.

“Do you know how long you have to be on the toilet to post that much? I mean, what is he eating?” Kimmel added.

Continuing his routine, Kimmel commented on the cabinet members, saying: “I guess his little thumbs gave out and he came down the hall for another all-star cabinet meeting — Trump’s hand-picked orange-nosers gathered to pay tribute to dear leader and to suckle upon his ample teat.”

The monologue also touched on recent scrutiny of Trump’s age and stamina following a New York Times report that suggested the 79-year-old president was showing “signs of fatigue.”

Kimmel highlighted some of Trump’s aides in his signature satirical style: “We have twice baked RFK Jr., who is now embroiled in a sexy drug scandal with a reporter nearly 40 years his junior. Our Secretary of War is murdering unidentified civilians and trying to throw the admiral who is following orders under the boat. The director of the FBI is reportedly using a private jet for personal travel with his country music star girlfriend, and delayed a murder investigation until somebody brought him a jacket, an FBI jacket, that fit his little body.”

Finishing his segment, Kimmel quipped: “They have better quality cabinets at IKEA.”

Kimmel’s commentary continues his long-running critique of Trump, mixing sharp political satire with humor aimed at both the president and his administration.
