WASHINGTON—Sunbeam Products Inc. has recalled more than 1.2 million Oster French Door Countertop Ovens after receiving reports of the doors unexpectedly closing, posing a burn hazard to consumers, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced this week.

The recall involves approximately 1,290,000 ovens sold in the United States, in addition to about 104,195 sold in Canada.

Sunbeam has received 95 reports of the oven doors closing unexpectedly, including two reports of second-degree burns.

The affected ovens have spring-loaded bilateral glass doors with metal handles and were sold under the model numbers TSSTTVFDXL, TSSTTVFDDG, TSSTTVFDMAF, and TSSTTVFDDAF. The model number can be found on a label on the backside of the oven. “Oster” is engraved on the front bottom right of the appliance. The models vary in cooking options, such as an air fryer function, and control types, which are either analog dials or digital push-buttons.

The ovens were sold at stores nationwide, including Bed Bath and Beyond, Costco, and Walmart, and online at Amazon.com and Overstock.com from August 2015 through July 2025, with prices ranging from $140 to $250.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled countertop ovens and contact Sunbeam Products Inc. to receive a free repair kit. The kit includes a clip-on device intended to provide additional holding force to keep the doors open, along with installation instructions. The repair does not require any tools.

Consumers can contact Sunbeam Products Inc. toll-free at 800-334-0759 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, or online at https://recall.oster.com or https://www.oster.com and click on “Product Recalls” for more information.

The ovens were imported by Sunbeam Products Inc., of Atlanta, Georgia, and manufactured in China.
