In August, a trust tied to conservative political commentator Glenn Beck, a former Fox News Channel host, purchased a $16.5 million beachfront estate there. The home has five bedrooms, 5½ bathrooms, nearly 6,500 square feet and it was built this year.
The town has a permanent population of 820, with a seasonal population of nearly 2,000, TCPalm previously reported. It spans 1,643 acres along a slender strip of ocean-to-Indian River Lagoon only a couple of hundred yards wide, bound by nine miles of shoreline to the east and west.

The property was dubbed a “mini Disney” by Realtors because of its manmade river and a massive pool that winds around the property with bridges, gazebos, water slides and water-gun stations.
