AMITE, La. (WGNO) — Deputies with the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office are searching for a work release inmate who is accused of walking away from an assignment on Saturday, Sept. 27.
TPSO officials said 51-year-old Christopher Delcambre, who is part of a program that allows select inmates to work outside the jail, allegedly walked away from his assignment at the Florida Parishes Arena.

TPSO deputies said Delcambre was brought to the arena around 3:30 p.m. and was unaccounted for after completing the task.
Delcambre, who reportedly has ties to the Abita Springs and Carriere, Mississippi areas, was last seen wearing blue pants and a white shirt heading northeast toward the baseball fields by the arena, according to deputies.
