Charlie Kirk
Honored By New York Yankees
… Hours After Shooting
Published September 11, 2025 6:41 AM PDT
The New York Yankees honored Charlie Kirk just before their game Wednesday … remembering his life with a jumbotron message and a moment of silence.
The Yankee Stadium homage came just hours after Kirk was shot and killed while he was speaking with students and others on the Utah Valley University campus about political issues.
New York officials put up his picture on the team’s centerfield scoreboard … and added the words, “Remembering Charlie Kirk.”
“Before tonight’s game we held a moment of silence in memoriam of Charlie Kirk,” the Yankees said of the tribute on their X page late Wednesday night. “Kirk founded the youth activist group ‘Turning Point USA’ and had become a fixture on college campuses.”
“Charlie Kirk, a husband and father of two children, was 31 years old.”
Following the emotional scene, the Yankees lost to the Detroit Tigers, 11-1.
Kirk, as you know, was struck by gunfire in the neck in the middle of his speaking engagement … and he did not survive.
Authorities say they are still on the hunt for his killer.
