BALTIMORE, MD—The Maryland Lottery is celebrating a string of incredible wins, including two massive scratch-off jackpots that turned players in Annapolis and Owings Mills into millionaires during the week of October 13th through October 19th.
In total, Maryland Lottery players across the state claimed over $30.1 million in prizes last week, with 28 tickets winning $10,000 or more.
The headline winners came from scratch-off games, transforming ticket stubs into life-changing fortunes:
- Annapolis: A player won a $1 Million prize from a $1 Million Royale ticket purchased at Annapolis Wine & Spirits on Forest Drive.
- Owings Mills: A local player secured a top prize, becoming a millionaire after purchasing a ticket for the MONOPOLY™ X200 game at the Giant Food store on Mill Run Circle.
Near Misses Yield Big Payoffs
While a few players narrowly missed the grand prize, their near misses resulted in substantial wins. Two Powerball players, missing the jackpot by a single number, still walked away with significant cash prizes:
- A ticket sold in Accokeek won $150,000.
- A ticket sold in Morningside won $50,000.
Important Reminder for Winners
The Maryland Lottery encourages all winners to secure their tickets immediately by signing the back.
Players should note the expiration deadlines for claiming prizes: draw game tickets expire 182 days after the drawing date, and FAST PLAY tickets expire 182 days after the purchase date. Information regarding the final claim dates for scratch-off tickets is available on the scratch-offs page at mdlottery.com.
