Man dead, another injured after shooting at Brockton park

One person is dead following a shooting at a Brockton park on Tuesday afternoon, according to Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz.

A 40-year-old man was killed after being shot just before 4:00 p.m. at Finnegan Park, Cruz said.

Brockton and state police police officers could be seen investigating the area around Crescent and Montello Streets.

Brockton police said another person involved in the incident was also injured and taken to a nearby hospital.

An arrest has not been announced.

The man killed has not been identified pending notification of next of kin.
