EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A man was arrested and charged with negligent homicide after he had a physical confrontation with another man this week near Horizon, according to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.

The Sheriff’s Office says just before 1 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 7, deputies were dispatched to the 500 block of Winter Spring Place in reference to a domestic dispute.

The initial investigation revealed that a physical altercation occurred between Jeremiah Nathanial Aguilar, 23, and a 37-year-old man, the Sheriff’s Office said.

The man was taken to a local hospital, where he later died as a result of his injuries.

On Friday, Oct. 10, a warrant was issued for Aguilar’s arrest for criminally negligent homicide. He was then located at his residence and was taken into custody and booked into the El Paso County Detention Center under a $100,000 bond.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes unit investigated this incident.
