Southern Indiana law enforcement agencies are urging parents to speak with their children about the dangers of a new TikTok challenge, according to Facebook posts from the Jennings County Sheriff’s Office and the Jeffersonville Police Department.
The posts detail the new trend consists of participants approaching random homes with an airsoft weapon and trying to kick the door open.
“If the door is forced open the juveniles will shoot the airsoft gun into the home in rapid succession before running away,” officials said. “However, if the door is unable to be forced open the juveniles will stand at the side of the residence and shoot the airsoft weapon at the homeowner when they exit the home.”

Jennings County Sheriff’s Office officials said the department was dispatched to a similar incident early Oct. 4. The department has tracked down all individuals involved.
“We fear this has the potential of growing more popular as time goes on,” Jennings County officials said. “This trend presents an extreme danger to everyone involved.”
