A Gaston County festival brings history alive each year in Dallas.

Cotton Ginning Days returns this weekend to entertain guests with ghosts from seasons past.

Here is what to know about the annual festival:

Gaston County Park in Dallas, 1303 Dallas Cherryville Hwy., Dallas

When

Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Sunday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (Church service in Chapel at 9 a.m.)

Cost

  • Shuttle from Gaston College: Free

  • Kid’s area attraction: $1 to $3

  • Food: Posted at the vendor location

Attendance

50,000 over three days

Kids Area

During the Cotton Ginning Days festival, there will be a kids section with several hands-on activities. It will include carnival games, a cupcake walk, pony rides and educational opportunities.
