WASHINGTON—Chetak LLC Group is expanding its voluntary recall of several lots of Deep-branded frozen vegetables and fruit products due to a potential risk of Salmonella contamination, the U.S. Food & Drug Administration announced this week.

The expanded recall includes lots of Deep-brand frozen Sprouted Mat (Moth), Sprouted Moong (Mung), Premium Select Surti Undhiu Mix, and Premium Select Singoda. The affected products were manufactured on the same equipment between December 18, 2024, and August 18, 2025 (view product photos).

Salmonella is an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections, particularly in young children, the elderly, and people with weakened immune systems. Symptoms in healthy individuals typically include fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain.

The company stated that no illnesses have been reported in connection with the recall to date.

Consumers who have any of the products with the specified lot numbers are advised to immediately stop using them and either discard the product or return it to the place of purchase.

Chetak has suspended production of the products as it investigates the source of the contamination. The company is cooperating with the FDA and regulatory authorities in the recall process.
