NOTTINGHAM, MD—Baltimore County Councilman David Marks on Monday announced that BGE will activate the new traffic signal at Perry Hall Boulevard and Bucks Schoolhouse Road during the week of October 20th.
Eric Endryas, president of the South Perry Hall Boulevard Improvement Association, praised the announcement.
“We would like to thank Councilman Marks for his diligent leadership in pushing for this traffic signal, which will greatly improve safety at this intersection,” said Endryas. “He has made it a priority, and we are particularly happy the signal will be up and running well before the holiday season.”
Councilman Marks helped secured the funding and sponsored a resolution to indicate the urgency for this signal.
“Motorists using this corridor, including school bus drivers, will have greater peace of mind knowing that this signal is in place,” Marks said. “I appreciated the constant communication and support from BGE and the Department of Public Works and Transportation.”
Typical procedure is for a new signal to flash for several days before switching to a routine signal.
