Buc-ee’s billboards decorate Florida highways, but where can you get its fudge in Florida?

Is it a sign that Buc-ee’s is officially coming to town, or is it just a new Buc-ee’s sign in town?

A new billboard has appeared on southbound Interstate 95 just north of the Indrio Road exit where Buc-ee’s plans to build one of its massive travel centers on the Treasure Coast. The sign reads, “I LOVE THE WAY YOU LOOK AT ME.”

This is the second Buc-ee’s billboard on the Treasure Coast. The one on northbound I-95 just before the Indrio Road exit promotes the Buc-ee’s in Daytona Beach, about 131 miles away.

With this new billboard up near the site of the proposed Buc-ee’s in St. Lucie County, here are some other wacky billboards from the mega gas station chain looking to expand its footprint here.

When is Buc-ee’s coming to St. Lucie County?

In 2023, Buc-ee’s proposed building a Buc-ee’s on the Treasure Coast, which would be the Texas-based company’s southernmost location in Florida.

Since then, the proposal has undergone various site plans. The county anticipates Buc-ee’s to submit a new site plan by the end of the week, according to St. Lucie County spokesperson Erick Gill.

If and when all of the approvals are secured, construction of a typical Buc-ee’s takes 12-15 months from start to opening day, company officials have said.
