MIDDLE RIVER, MD—A Baltimore County Public Schools committee is set to continue its study on the attendance boundaries for three eastern elementary schools to address enrollment imbalances. The second committee meeting will take place on Wednesday, September 24, at Middle River Middle School.

The study will explore new boundary lines for Chase, Oliver Beach, and Seneca elementary schools to maximize space and balance student enrollment. The committee is composed of representatives from each of the affected schools, including parents and staff.

Proposed changes, if approved by the Board of Education of Baltimore County, would be implemented at the start of the 2026-2027 school year.

The committee’s second session is scheduled for 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Middle River Middle School cafeteria, located at 800 Middle River Road (21220). The public is welcome to attend and observe the meeting.

For those unable to attend in person, the meeting will be livestreamed on the BCPS-TV YouTube channel.

Additional meetings are scheduled for October 8 (if needed), November 19, and December 3 (if needed). All sessions will be held at Middle River Middle School from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

A special public information session is scheduled for Wednesday, October 22, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Middle River Middle School. The public is invited to provide feedback and express preferences on the proposed boundary options during this session.

All meeting materials and a calendar of events will be made available on the Elementary School Boundary Study web page on the BCPS website.
