PERRY HALL, MD—The Baltimore County Department of Public Works and Transportation will begin installing an interim measure Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2025, to address traffic safety concerns at the intersection of Honeygo Boulevard and Cross Road in Perry Hall, weather permitting.

The temporary change will involve the installation of flexiposts to restrict Cross Road through-traffic and left turns onto Honeygo Boulevard.

The measure follows community input expressing the need for immediate traffic safety relief while the department continues with the county’s long-term plan to construct a roundabout at the location.

The Department of Public Works and Transportation, or DPWT, will continue with the roundabout’s design, right-of-way acquisition and construction, unless community interest dictates otherwise. The department noted the roundabout can only be built with right-of-way acquisition, which has no guaranteed timeline.

In addition to the changes at Honeygo Boulevard and Cross Road, DPWT is conducting a traffic signal warrant analysis at Honeygo Boulevard and Gunpowder Road, another action requested by the community. An update on that analysis will be provided once it is complete.

A video simulation demonstrating the new interim traffic pattern at Honeygo Boulevard and Cross Road is available below.
