EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Happy Saturday, Borderland. The region saw a good amount of rainfall Friday night as storms moved through our area. The good news is we’ll see drier conditions for a couple of days, but then the moisture will return once again, along with below-average temperatures.
Saturday night, chances for scattered showers and storms in El Paso and Las Cruces will be present in the early nighttime hours. After that, the skies will clear, and winds will be light lows in the mid to upper 60s.
Sunday will be mostly sunny with a high in the lower 90s. Winds will be calm throughout the day, going into the evening with lows in the upper 60s.
Moisture returns Monday with highs still in the low 90s. As of now, there is a slight chance of showers and storms in the evening. The skies will be partly cloudy with a low near 70. This is also the first day of the fall equinox, and temperatures will soon reflect the shift in seasons.
Tuesday will be very similar to Monday with storm chances and temperatures, but winds will be slightly stronger overnight. The wind will blow from 10-15 mph with gusts near 25 mph.
The windy conditions carry over into Wednesday, and so does the moisture. High temperatures drop to the mid 80s. Winds will 10-15 mph with gusts around 25 mph.
High temperatures will continue to be in the upper 80s Thursday and Friday, with slight thunderstorm chances in the evenings. Lows will be in the upper 60s with partly cloudy skies.
