The Utah Jazz and Houston Rockets face off tonight in H-Town for a preseason matchup at the Toyota Center.

Kevin Durant will make his preseason debut for the Rockets. Houston will finally get to see how he’ll gel with their young core of Alperen Sengun, Amen Thompson, and Jabari Smith Jr.

The Rockets will be without Fred VanVleet, who’s sidelined for the season with a torn ACL. New addition Dorian Finney-Smith is a gametime decision.

Jazz fans will get their first look at their two 2025 first-round picks: Ace Bailey, a 6′ 6″ forward out of Rutgers, and Walter Clayton Jr., a guard out of Florida who led the Gators to the national championship in March.

Lauri Markkanen, one of the few capable veterans left on the depleted roster will be a gametime decision. But Bailey and Clayton Jr. will probably get time on the court with Jusuf Nurkic, acquired in the offseason from the Charlotte Hornets.
