“Tonight Show” host Jimmy Fallon on Monday knocked President Donald Trump for publicly pressuring Attorney General Pam Bondi to go after his “guilty as hell” political foes over the weekend.

“Now I know that sounds highly illegal,” quipped Fallon before a dramatic, seconds-long pause — effectively making his comments the punchline.

Earlier in the monologue, Fallon teased Trump’s expected address to the U.N. General Assembly on Tuesday, noting that he’s set to “lay out the successes of his first eight months.”

“Every world leader heard that and was like, ‘Phew, at least we’ll be out of here fast,’” he joked.

“When Trump talks, you don’t know whether the headphones people are wearing are translating Trump or playing a podcast.”

He later turned to reports that the White House is considering etching the names of corporations “inside the walls” of a new ballroom if they donate to the planned expansion project.

“Mexico is like, ‘Here he is, talking about walls again,’” said Fallon before facepalming.
